Here are the current updates on stock status and our plan to manage delays and disruption with shipping and logistics.
We are seeing some encouraging signs of stability within the logistics world; that said, delays and cost increases are still a reality we have to deal with.
Here is what we are doing and working on to push through these challenges.
- First, the product is on its way. We will have a full slate of products in our warehouse in the coming weeks. We expect most products to be back in stock in the next 3-4 weeks
- Second, where & when additional stock is available, we are bearing the cost of airfreight to get in and in turn out to you when you need it. This is an expensive process, but we know the importance of doing what we can in the short term out ways the burden of the extra cost.
- Third, we have adjusted our stock management strategy to hold more stock of our best sellers to ensure we can withstand further disruption. This move to risk adjust our stock position takes time to make; however, it will allow us to mitigate most disruptions as we move forward.
We have a slight price increase that will take effect November 1, 2022; we have worked to minimize the increase limiting it to between 5%-10%. We have had one price increase over the last three years; however, the disproportionate scale of shipping costs now leaves no option but to adjust. New prices are available on the website, and a separate email will follow with a PDF copy.
Picking on my last communication, we've been working on greening our business and incrementally taking steps to provide a greener product to the public; this has been an ongoing process for some time.
The first step was to move to a recyclable hard case; it was always important to have a reusable case, and moving to a recyclable case initiated the greening process.
The second step was to remove the cellophane cover that protected the product during transport from manufacturing to our warehouse. We've switched to tissue paper within our packages. So when it leaves the factory, there's no longer the - plastic going to waste. Products are protected & wrapped in tissue paper.
Step three was to remove the plastic goggle cradle, which was recyclable, and replace it with a cardboard piece of a recyclable cardboard cradle.
Taking these three steps means that everything you receive in a case pack is completely recyclable.
We are constantly working on reducing our environmental footprint; we recognize the need to do our part by contributing to the solution, regardless of how big or small.
We are a part of a group of companies always looking to lessen our impact on the environment and understand that enough people taking small steps make a big difference in undoing the bad habits driven by convenience.
